Winnipeg Transit presents the Santa Bus

Winnipeg, MB - Santa Bus is driving the holiday spirit starting Thursday, December 1 until Saturday, December 24, 2016. All cash fares and donations collected on the Santa Bus go directly to the Christmas Cheer board.

Bus #140 features larger-than-life vinyl graphics of Santa and all of his reindeer.

“The Santa Bus raised $15,000 in 2015 and we’re ho-ho-hoping to collect even more this year,” said Mr. Claus.

Annual Snow Route Parking Ban begins Thursday, December 1

Winnipeg, MB - The City's Annual Snow Route Parking Ban will take effect at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Vehicles may not park on streets designated as snow routes between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

The Annual Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect from December 1 to March 1.

A collaboration between Councillor Mike Pagtakhan and Mr. Harry Black, President of Pan Am Boxing Club, the new North End Youth Boxing Program offers youth ages 12 to 17 an opportunity to learn valuable skills.

Advanced Care Paramedic program graduates ready to serve

Winnipeg, MB - Representatives from the Province of Manitoba and City of Winnipeg celebrated the achievements of twelve Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) program graduates in a ceremony earlier today at the Robert A. Steen Community Centre. The graduates completed a challenging three-year program, offered by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) consisting of classroom, hospital and field training to achieve the highest level of paramedic training available in Manitoba.
