Temporary closure of eastbound and westbound Provencher Boulevard between Des Meurons Street and Nadeau Street

Winnipeg, MB – Eastbound and westbound Provencher Boulevard between Des Meurons Street and Nadeau Street will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic starting at 6 p.m. this Friday, September 28, until 11 p.m. on Sunday, September 30 for railway crossing repairs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Motorists should allow for additional travel time, and use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg would like to advise residents and businesses of changes to City services in the event of a Canada Post work stoppage.

Residents are advised to contact 311 for information on how City services that normally use Canada Post will operate in the event of a work stoppage.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service update: Dawson Road Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:16 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire at an industrial building in the 500 block of Dawson Road North. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and a working fire. A second alarm was called, increasing the number of apparatus and WFPS crew members on the scene.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: Khalsa Street & Mountain Avenue fires

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:36 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to reports of smoke in the 100 block of Khalsa Street. Once on scene, it was quickly determined the source of the smoke was fire in a single-storey wood-framed home, with flames coming through the roof.
