Winnipeg, MB – Five additional in-person open houses are being held to give Winnipeg residents more opportunity to meet with City of Winnipeg planners and discuss proposed citywide zoning changes.
The City has proposed zoning changes to help address an urgent need for more housing in Winnipeg. The changes to the Winnipeg Zoning By-law and Local Area Plans would enable the as-of-right development of:
- Two-unit, three-unit, and four-unit homes in many neighbourhoods;
- Taller four-unit homes (up to 39 feet) on certain lots within 800 metres walking distance of a frequent transit route.
