Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to structure fire on Furby Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:40 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a home in the 500 block of Furby Street.

At the scene, crews found a fire inside the house. Firefighters attacked the fire from the inside, declaring the fire under control at 11:57 a.m.

Everyone inside the house safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

Preliminary observations suggest the cause of the fire was accidental and related to the home’s electrical system. No damage estimates are available.
