Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Mountain Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey commercial building.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found smoke and flames coming from the building. They entered the building to fight the fire from inside. The fire was declared under control at 1:32 p.m.

Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
