City of Winnipeg seeking feedback on new long-term plan for Downtown Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg invites Winnipeggers to participate in the creation of a long-term plan that will guide development and investment in Downtown Winnipeg for the next 30 years. CentrePlan 2050 will help transform what Downtown looks like, how we get around, and how we experience the area, with the goal of getting more people living and visiting Downtown.

CentrePlan 2050 focuses on five key themes important to the future of Downtown:

  • Living & visiting Downtown
  • Greening Downtown
  • Getting around Downtown
  • Building Downtown
  • Re-imagining Graham Avenue

The City is hosting an open house on Thursday, May 25, where attendees can learn more about the project, speak with the project team, and provide input on topics that interest them.

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To provide feedback online, Winnipeggers can visit winnipeg.ca/centreplan2050 and click on the key themes to find online surveys, interactive mapping tools, and an ideas board. Feedback will be accepted until Thursday, June 15.
