Winnipeg, MB – At 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey home in the 500 block of Ross Avenue.
At the scene, crews saw smoke coming from the home. Firefighters attacked from outside the home, declaring the fire under control at 11:43 p.m.
Everyone inside safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services (ESS) team responded to the scene to help four people find temporary housing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
