City provides update on Brady Road Resource Management Facility operations

Released: January 5, 2023 at 5:56 p.m.

The Brady Road Resource Management Facility, which includes the landfill and 4R Winnipeg Depot, will reopen to members of the public on Friday, January 6, 2023 during normal business hours.

An encampment will remain near the entrance to the facility along the roadway, and residential and commercial customers will be able to access the landfill and 4R Winnipeg Depot.

The City of Winnipeg is grateful for the positive discussions with family members, the First Nation Indigenous Warriors, as well as other community stakeholders, and is committed to maintaining ongoing, open dialogue.

It’s through these discussions and through their cooperation that we were able to reach a compromise, one which supports the right to peacefully protest while allowing the Brady Road Resource Management Facility to reopen to members of the public.
