Winnipeg, MB – At 7:49 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a-half-storey multi-family residence in the 900 block of Manitoba Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from the structure. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 8:45 p.m.
All occupants of the building safely self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported. The City’s Emergency Social Services were called to assist displaced residents in finding temporary accommodations.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
