Outdoor aquatic facility closures begin next week

Staggered closures will take place between August 17 and September 5

Winnipeg, MB – City-operated wading pools, outdoor pools, and spray pads are set to close in the coming weeks.

Outdoor pools

The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Friday, September 2, 2022:

  • Fort Garry Lions
  • Happyland
  • Windsor Park
  • Provencher

The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Monday, September 5, 2022:

  • Freight House
  • Kildonan Park
  • St. Vital
  • Transcona Aquatic Park
  • Westdale

Wading pools

Most of the City’s wading pools plan to close between August 17 and August, 26, 2022; however, the following four wading pools plan to remain open until end-of-day Monday, September 5, 2022:

  • Central Park
  • Dakota Park
  • McKittrick Park
  • St. John’s Park

Spray pads
