Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: Manitoba Avenue Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:33 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of a fire in a two and a half storey, multi-family home in the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered smoke and flames. An offensive fire attack was launched and the fire was quickly knocked down.

All occupants of the home had safely self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. The home was equipped with a working smoke alarm. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
