Public invited to review design concepts and provide input on Osborne to Downtown Walk Bike Bridge and Connections project

Released: May 22, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg is gathering public input on the Osborne to Downtown Walk Bike Bridge and Connections project. The project will close a gap in the pedestrian and cycling network by connecting bike lanes on Assiniboine Avenue to future cycling routes in Osborne Village.

Conceptual designs for a new bridge, nearby park upgrades and pedestrian and cycling connections through Osborne Village have been developed with consideration from the public feedback collected earlier this year, including 1,046 submissions to an online survey and 71 attendees at a public workshop. Participants now have an opportunity to see how their feedback was considered in a public engagement summary.

Winnipeggers are invited to participate online and in-person in phase two of public engagement to help refine the designs to provide a safe and more convenient connection between Osborne Village and the Downtown.
