Public invited to information session for the Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) project

Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeggers are invited to attend an information session to learn more about the 2018 construction activities as part of the Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) project. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the planned construction activities, schedule, and design for the project.

Construction of the Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) project began in August 2016 and will continue this year with the development of key elements including the transitway, Bishop Grandin Boulevard and McGillivary Boulevard overpasses, the redevelopment of Southpark, and the construction of park and ride lots along the transitway.

The information session will also feature information on the Chevrier Walk Bike project, which will connect existing cycling and multi-use pathways to the future Southwest Rapid Transitway, Chevrier Station, and active transportation pathway. Construction on the Chevrier Walk Bike project is expected to begin in May 2018.
