Winnipeg, MB - Due to blowing snow and extremely cold temperatures, some City of Winnipeg departments are experiencing service delays and interruptions.
The Brady Road Resource Management Facility has reopened to commercial traffic only. Garbage collection has resumed but is expected to be slower than normal (more information below).
Winnipeg Transit is experiencing minor delays and we recommend that Transit users allow for extra travel time (more information below). Handi-Transit service has returned to normal.
City crews are monitoring the road network and will be spot plowing to address areas prone to drifting. Sand will continue to be applied to address slippery conditions. As winds diminish, a full city-wide sidewalk clearing operation will be required.
Motorists are urged to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment.
