Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeggers are invited to spread some holiday cheer to the adoptable dogs at the Animal Services Agency on Christmas Day. Learn more about responsible pet ownership while playing with the Agency’s furry inhabitants outside. Treats will also be available to give to the dogs.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Boyd Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:31 a.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half-storey house in the 700 block of Boyd Avenue.

When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered flames coming from the structure. They launched an offensive attack, and the fire was declared under control at 3:13 a.m.

No occupants were home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Burrows Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:06 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey commercial building in the 800 block of Burrows Avenue.

When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke and flames coming from the structure. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 6:33 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
