Whiteout at Work contest encouraged employees to give back

We’re rallying behind the Winnipeg Jets with a Whiteout at Work contest. It’s a chance for our employees to get in the playoff spirt while also supporting the community we serve.

Staff could decorate their window, office space, or vehicle in support of the Winnipeg Jets.

To enter the contest, employees were asked to make a donation to the City of Winnipeg Charitable Fund (CWCF). The CWCF then divides the donation between the United Way and The Winnipeg Foundation.

The contest brought out our staff’s creativity and competitive spirit. We received entries from nearly all areas of our organization. The finalists were decided by the CWCF committee members.

Winning entries

Community Services Human Resources, Corporate Services Human Resources, and the Winnipeg Police Court Unit won bragging rights.

Every donation collected helped to make a difference for someone in Winnipeg. The CWCF is always looking for ways for our employees to have some fun while giving back. In 2023, employees and retirees raised nearly $360,000 for local charities.
