Waverley West road closure beginning tomorrow night to allow for delivery and assembly of new modular Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station

Winnipeg, MB – Residents in the Waverley West neighbourhood will see traffic disruptions beginning the night of Thursday, October 17, to allow for the delivery of the new interim modular Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station.

Construction crews will assemble the modular station at 130 Eaglewood Drive following its delivery overnight. The assembly is expected to happen over the following two days on October 18 & 19.  

Residents can expect the following traffic impacts while the station is being delivered and assembled:

  • Southbound lanes of Eaglewood Drive, from Skyline Drive to the Element on Eaglewood complex entrance, will be closed from October 17 at 8 p.m. until October 19 at 8 p.m. This closure may end earlier on October 19 as work is completed.
  • ‘No Parking’ signs will be posted along both sides of Eaglewood Drive from Waverley Street to Skyline Drive.
  • Southbound traffic will be routed down the left side of the north lane for the period of the closure.
  • The sidewalk on the west of Eaglewood Drive will be closed over this stretch. Pedestrians will be able to walk on the east sidewalk along Eaglewood Drive.

There will construction equipment operating in the area while the new interim modular station is being moved and assembled. As a safety precaution, residents are asked to avoid the area while work is underway.
