Winnipeg, MB – Members of the public are invited to provide their feedback on City-owned properties at 219 Provencher Boulevard and 212 Dumoulin Street. Residents can participate in an online survey, attend an event, or host their own discussion.
City staff have been meeting with community stakeholders to discuss next steps for the former sites of the Saint-Boniface City Hall and Fire Hall. The City is now asking members of the public to tell us what is important to them, which sale or lease options to consider, and what they want to see in the future.
Residents can provide feedback by filling out an online survey until February 15, 2024, or by participating in an in-person or virtual workshop:
In-person workshop:
- Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Notre Dame Recreational Campus, 271 avenue de la Cathédrale, multi-purpose room
Virtual workshop (discussion in French):
- Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Held over Zoom, register online to participate
Virtual workshop (discussion in English):
- Thursday, January 25, 2024, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Held over Zoom, register online to participate
Residents are invited to host their own discussions with other members of the community and submit key comments to the City for consideration.
Following these activities, the City will consider all comments received and discuss the results with key stakeholders. There will be a recommendation made to the Standing Policy Committee on Property and Development on the future of each property. Any future sale or lease agreement would need to be approved by Council.
