Winnipeg, MB – At 4:51 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-storey house in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Initially, they fought the fire from the exterior of the house as it was not safe to enter. Crews completed a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
