Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a commercial fire on Sutherland Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 7:42 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a commercial building in the 0-100 block of Sutherland Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw heavy flames coming from the property. Firefighters attacked the fire from outside because it was unsafe to enter due to the structural instability of the building.

The fire was declared under control at 8:27 p.m. Firefighters will remain on scene until the fire is completely extinguished.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
