Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex to temporarily close for repairs and upgrades beginning June 12

Harvey Smith Library expected to close for approximately one month beginning August 1

Winnipeg, MB – Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, located at 999 Sargent Ave., is scheduled for mechanical repairs and upgrades, and will be closed to the public beginning June 12, 2022 for approximately five months.

As part of the project, Harvey Smith Library, located within the complex, is also expected to be closed beginning August 1, 2022 for approximately one month.

Upgrades include replacing fire dampers and the building’s air handling unit. The planned budget for the project is $1.75 million, and is funded through the Council-approved Recreation and Library Facility Investment Strategy, which is investing $50 million into facility improvements over three years.
