Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Logan Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:12 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey industrial warehouse with a mezzanine-level in the 2000 block of Logan Avenue.

When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered a well-involved structure fire. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 12:36 p.m..

Most occupants self-evacuated prior to crew arrival. Crews assisted a number of occupants in safely evacuating the building. No injuries were reported.

A portion of Logan Avenue is closed in both directions east of Ryan Street to facilitate fire operations. Residents are advised to avoid the area.

The structure suffered significant fire damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
