City of Winnipeg launches official election website

Election Day is Wednesday, October 26, 2022

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg has unveiled the official website for the 2022 City of Winnipeg Municipal and School Boards Election.

Eligible voters will have the opportunity to cast ballots for the offices of Mayor, Councillor, and School Trustee when they head to the polls on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

In advance of Election Day, the City is encouraging interested candidates to visit winnipeg.ca/election2022 to find information on wide range of topics, including information regarding the registration and nomination processes, important dates, as well as legislation on campaign expenses and campaign signage. The website will be updated throughout the next ten months as more information becomes available, including updates with respect to voting specifics.

“We wanted to ensure we provided as much information, as early as possible, so that potential candidates and the public understand the process of running for public office,” said Marc Lemoine, Senior Election Official. “We hope the easy-to-use, mobile friendly website will also help engage voters early in the process.”
