Controlled collapse of decommissioned antenna taking place tomorrow

Winnipeg, MB – Residents are advised that a controlled collapse of the decommissioned North Winnipeg Antenna System located at the North End Sewage Treatment Plant (2230 Main St.) will be taking place tomorrow, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at noon. The collapse will take approximately 15 minutes, and may be audible in the area immediately surrounding the plant.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews will be on site to monitor the antenna collapse. Residents are asked to not contact 911 should they see or hear these operations.
