Temporary full closure of Donald Street south of Portage Avenue

Released: November 16, 2021 at 4:34 p.m.

Jets fans attending tonight’s game should allow additional travel time

Winnipeg, MB – Southbound Donald Street is completely closed from Portage Avenue past the overhead skywalk located immediately south of the intersection to facilitate assessment/repairs being made to the skywalk, which was damaged due to a motor vehicle collision.

Traffic traveling southbound on Donald towards Portage Avenue will be required to reroute to either eastbound, or westbound Portage to avoid the closure. Pedestrians and cyclists are not permitted in the closed section of Donald.

Winnipeg Jets fans attending tonight’s hockey game at the Canada Life Centre can expect significant delays and should plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use alternative routes to get to their destination.

Transit will be rerouted during the closures. Follow @TransitAlerts on Twitter for details and updates.
