Extended Snow Route Parking Ban lifted

Released: November 16, 2021 at 3:13 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The Extended Snow Route Parking Ban that was put into effect at 12 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 has now been lifted. No other winter parking bans are in place at this time. We thank all residents for their cooperation.

Crews will continue to address trouble spots and areas prone to drifting snow throughout the city. Sidewalk clearing is still in progress; it’s anticipated that crews will complete clearing of Priority 2 sidewalks and active transportation paths today, and will begin clearing residential sidewalks this evening.

We encourage residents to report missed snow clearing, including streets, sidewalks, and active transportation paths, by using 311’s new, quick, and convenient online form, which provides us with the information we need to process a service request.

With melting and thawing occurring, crews will also continue to monitor road conditions and apply salt and sand to improve traction throughout the city, as required.

For more information about winter parking bans and snow clearing and ice control activities, see winnipeg.ca/snow.
