Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Glencairn Road

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:58 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey, single-family house in the 200 block of Glencairn Road.

Once on-scene, crews encountered smoke coming from the structure. They launched an offensive attack, quickly extinguishing the fire and declaring it under control at 7:24 p.m.

One occupant self-evacuated prior to crew arrival. No injuries were reported.

Fire damage was contained to the suite of origin. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
