Winnipeg, MB – On Saturday, May 1, 2021, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to two overnight fires on Agnes Street.
At 4:32 a.m., WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a one-storey home in the 600 block of Agnes Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered heavy smoke coming from the home.
Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 5:57 a.m. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure all hot spots were fully extinguished.
All occupants safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. Occupants of a nearby home were also evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
At 4:54 a.m., WFPS responded to reports of a fire in another home in the 600 block of Agnes Street. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 5:18 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available.
