Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Devonshire Drive West

Winnipeg, MB – At 3:04 p.m. on April 24, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey condominium complex in the 1000 block of Devonshire Drive West.

When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke in the building and launched an offensive attack. The fire was quickly knocked down, with the building’s sprinkler system helping to control the fire before crews’ arrival.

No injuries were reported. Fire damage was contained to a single suite. Occupants from all other suites were able to return once ventilation of the building was complete.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are currently available.
