Released: March 4, 2021 at 1:37 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg is extending the temporary patio registration program through the upcoming summer season.

The extension of the program will allow registered eligible businesses to operate under the summer temporary patio program from April 1, 2021 to October 31, 2021. Last summer, the City had over 60 local businesses register for operation under the temporary patio program.

Businesses that wish to participate in the temporary patio registration program between April 1, 2021 and October 31, 2021 will need to submit a new registration form with a processing fee. Any current winter temporary patio registrations will not transfer beyond March 31, 2021. Previous temporary patio registrations for operation in summer 2020 will also not carry forward to 2021.

For more information about the program, including more information on the registration process, see: winnipeg.ca/temporarypatio.
