Winnipeg, MB – At 3:43 p.m. on September 25, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus into a hydro pole near the intersection of Logan Avenue and Stanley Street.
The bus driver and 31 school-aged children on the bus at the time of the collision all safely disembarked prior to the arrival of emergency crews. They were brought to the nearby Salvation Army facility where WFPS paramedics assessed all involved. No injuries were reported and no transports to hospital were required.
The cause of the incident will be under investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service. Logan Avenue remains closed from Isabel Street to Princess Street. At this time, it is not known when traffic in the area will be reopened.
There are a number of residences and businesses in the area with no power as a result of the incident. Manitoba Hydro crews are on scene and working to get customers back on as quickly and safely as possible.
