Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Burrows Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 7:06 p.m. on September 14, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-storey house in the 500 block of Burrows Avenue.

When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke coming from the house and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 7:54 p.m.

A search of the structure was completed and no occupants were located. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time but the house had previously been damaged by fires in January 2019 and June 2020.
