Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a house fire on Viking Road

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:17 p.m. on September 7, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in the 0-100 block of Viking Road. When crews arrived on scene they encountered a well-involved fire with flames and smoke coming from the home.

Crews shuttled water to the scene in tankers because the home is located outside the water district. The fire was declared under control at 2:58 p.m.

Crews assessed one patient on scene but no transportation to hospital was required. No damage estimates are available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
