Community advance voting for 2020 School Trustee By-Election begins tomorrow

Winnipeg, MB – Community advance voting for the March 21, 2020 School Trustee By-Election for Winnipeg School Division Wards 3 and 4 officially begins tomorrow.

Eligible voters in Winnipeg School Division Wards 3 and 4 can cast their ballots at either of the following locations:

Where:Mulvey School, 750 Wolseley Ave.
Ecole River Heights, 1350 Grosvenor Ave.
When:Saturday, March 14, 2020
Monday, March 16, 2020
Tuesday, March 17, 2020
Hours:8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Saturday)
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Monday to Tuesday)

Both advance voting locations are equipped with ballot marking devices, which are available to voters who cannot mark a paper ballot with a pen, and require the unit's ballot marker device to generate a marked ballot.

The voter uses the audio-tactile interface, sip and puff device or paddle button device along with headphones to navigate through the audio ballot.

Identification Requirements

All voters are required to bring valid identification that shows their name and current address – such as a driver’s license – when they head to the polls. In the absence of a driver's license or Enhanced Identification Card, any two documents that together show the person's name and current address will also be accepted.

Voters are encouraged to bring their Voters Notice to streamline the voting process.
