Winnipeg, MB – At 2:01 a.m. on January 20, 2020, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a one-storey home in the 100 block of Rupertsland Boulevard.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke coming from the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 2:49 a.m. Crews conducted a search of the home and no occupants were located. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
At 3:18 a.m., WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a multi-family home in the 100 block of Mapleridge Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered light smoke coming from the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, quickly bringing the fire under control. All occupants self-evacuated prior to crew arrival. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
At 3:48 a.m., WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a half-storey home in the 500 block of Spence Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke coming from the home. Crews launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 4:10 a.m. Crews assisted one person to evacuate the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
