Winnipeg, MB – At 11:27 a.m. on November 16, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of fire in a garage attached to a two and a half storey home in the 400 block of Cambridge Street. Once on scene crews encountered heavy smoke and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 11:47 a.m. It did not extend into the home.
Occupants of the home and garage had self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
