Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a house fire on Ashford Drive

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:57 a.m. on October 29, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a call from a monitored alarm system at a single-family home in the 0-100 block of Ashford Drive.

Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered smoke coming from the home. Crews forced entry and launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 11:16 a.m. The home sustained significant damage.

Crews conducted a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
