City crews continue salting operations today with plowing of major streets and bus routes to begin at 11 p.m.

Motorists are urged to use extra caution and to drive to winter conditions

Winnipeg, MB – City crews continue to monitor road conditions and will continue to spread salt on main routes as needed to improve traction on the roadways throughout the day. A plowing operation on priority one and two streets and sidewalks will commence tonight at 11 p.m.

There are no winter parking bans currently in effect.

Motorists are advised to:

  • Factor in additional travel time to get to destinations
  • Slow down to a safe travel speed for winter conditions
  • Allow appropriate stopping distances
  • Stay Back, Stay Safe from heavy equipment that is working
