Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a house fire on William Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:08 p.m. on October 6, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a monitored smoke alarm in a house in the 600 block of William Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered smoke coming from the house. Crews forced entry, launched an offensive attack, and declared the fire under control at 6:41 p.m.

There were no evacuations required and no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate is available at this time.
