Winnipeg, MB – At 1:22 a.m. on September 15, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a one and a half storey home in the 1100 block of Manitoba Avenue. Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered flames coming from the home and heavy smoke conditions. An offensive attack was launched and crews had the fire under control by 1:48 a.m.
Occupants of the house had self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. One individual was assessed on scene by paramedics and transported to hospital in stable condition. It was determined the individual’s condition was not related to the fire. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
