Winnipeg, MB - Today, City of Winnipeg officials reopened Lambert Park, located at 1045 Lambert Street, following the addition of new playground features and other improvements.

“Communities benefit significantly when there are fun and safe play environments like this one,” said Councillor Sherri Rollins, Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services and Parks. “We know this park will be enjoyed by area residents for years to come.”

“Though Holden is a small community, the children and families there deserve to have opportunities for recreation in their neighbourhood,” said Councillor Matt Allard, St. Boniface Ward. “I’m pleased to have secured funds out of the St. Boniface Ward fund from the 2019 Parks and Recreation Enhancement Program for this beautiful new amenity.”

The playground improvements include a new swing set, sand box, picnic table, bench, waste receptacle, and granular path.

The project cost approximately $30,000, with funding from the 2019 Parks and Recreation Enhancement Program.
