Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: Beverley Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 3:54 p.m. on July 12, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two storey multi-family home in the 400 block of Beverley Street. Once on scene, crews encountered smoke coming from the windows and launched on offensive attack, quickly bringing the fire under control.

There was a total of eight occupants in the home at the time of the fire. Five self-evacuated and crews assisted the remaining three in evacuating. All were assessed for smoke inhalation by paramedics on scene. Two required transport to hospital. Both were in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
