Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg, MB – At 2:47 a.m. on April 22, 2019, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to reports of a fire in a vacant one and a half storey house in the 700 block of Stella Avenue. Once on scene crews encountered heavy black smoke and flames and immediately launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 3:09 a.m.
Crews conducted a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
Burrows Avenue Fire
At 4:31 a.m. on April 22, 2019, while en route to a call, a WFPS crew came across and reported a fire in a vacant single storey house in the 800 block of Burrows Avenue. Additional crews were dispatched and once on scene they immediately launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 5:32 a.m.
Crews conducted a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
