Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: Union Avenue West Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At 4:26 a.m. on April 1, 2019, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to reports of a fire in a vacant single-storey bungalow in the 200 block of Union Avenue West. The same house had been damaged by fire in September 2018.

Once on scene this morning, crews launched an interior offensive attack, and the fire was declared extinguished at 5:34 a.m. A search of the structure was completed and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
