Yard waste collection delays expected

Released: October 27, 2017 at 3:20 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Due to the weather conditions and increases in the volume of yard waste being placed out, collection delays are expected over the next few weeks.

Crews may be working on weekends, and as late at 10 p.m., to get caught up.

Residents are advised to place their yard waste out on their regular collection day and to leave it out until it gets collected.

If this week is your yard waste collection week and your yard waste has not been collected by 10 p.m. on Sunday, please contact 311 to report a missed pick up.

Residents can also take their yard waste to the 4R Winnipeg Depots, located at 1120 Pacific Avenue or at 1777 Brady Road. The depots accept yard waste in addition to household recyclables, construction materials, household hazardous waste and electronic waste. For more information on accepted materials and operating hours, please visit Winnipeg.ca/4RDepot or contact 311.
