Winnipeg, MB – At an event this morning, Councillor Janice Lukes and members of the community officially unveiled pathway improvements and other upgrades to Grandmont and Ducharme parks.

“Grandmont and Ducharme parks are hidden gems in the community of St. Norbert,” said Janice Lukes, Councillor for South Winnipeg – St. Norbert. “These new park upgrades will help to improve accessibility for the many residents who enjoy this much loved greenspace in their neighbourhood.”

Grandmont Park boasts a small forest and play structures, and is connected by a pathway that wraps around a small lake to Ducharme Park. Enhancements to the parks include 1,500 square metres of new asphalt and 1,775 square metres of new limestone pathways and new park benches.

Construction on the upgrades began in late summer 2017, with a total budget of $153,000.
