Help shape Winnipeg’s updated Climate Action Plan

Tree branches with leaves and a blue sky with clouds

We are working to better prepare our city for climate change.

As we see more extreme heat, wildfire smoke, flooding, drought, and stronger storms, we need to keep pace with growing risks.

We’re just launched an engagement program to guide an update to the Winnipeg Climate Action Plan.

The updated plan will include actions to reduce emissions, prepare for climate impacts, and protect the services we all rely on.

We’re now in the first phase of plan development. We are listening and learning from residents across Winnipeg.

We are also working with Indigenous governments and organizations, community groups, and equity partners to make sure the plan reflects a wide range of experiences and knowledge.

How you can help shape the updated plan

Before we make these updates, we want to hear from you. How is climate change affecting you and your community? Take the survey and help build a stronger, more resilient Winnipeg.

Your experiences, concerns, and ideas will help shape the updated plan. Whether you have noticed hotter summers, poor air quality, flooding, or other challenges, your voice matters. The survey closes June 28.
