New intersection opens at Kenaston Boulevard and the Perimeter Highway

Released: September 24, 2014 at 3:28 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that the north connection point of Waverley Street to the Perimeter Highway will be permanently closed, eliminating access to and from Waverley Street north of the Perimeter Highway, as of Friday, September 26. Traffic will instead flow through a new signalized intersection at the newly-constructed extension of Kenaston Boulevard and the Perimeter Highway, open as of Thursday, September 25.

A route using new sections of Waverley Street and Kenaston Boulevard will provide a temporary connection to the Perimeter (as shown in this diagram) until the Kenaston Boulevard Extension project is fully open. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of October 2014. Further information about the completion of the Kenaston Boulevard Extension project will follow in the coming weeks.
