Empress Street closed at Ellice Avenue

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that Empress Street will be closed at Ellice Avenue on Wednesday, September 24 at 7:00 a.m. to accommodate infrastructure improvements in the Polo Park area.

Empress Street northbound lanes will reopen on Friday, September 26 while work continues on Empress Street southbound lanes, for one week. Construction will shift, closing Empress Street northbound lanes and reopening Empress Street southbound lanes, for an additional week.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions on Ellice Avenue and local access will be maintained on Empress Street at all times.

Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
