Ensure you are on the Voters List

Winnipeg, MB - The 2014 General Civic Election for the City of Winnipeg will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Eligible voters will have the opportunity to cast ballots for Mayor, Councillors and School Trustees.

If you are a resident of the City of Winnipeg you should ensure that your name and current address is properly registered on the City of Winnipeg's Voters List. Note that all voters must be Canadian citizens, a resident of the City since April 22, 2014 and 18 years of age on Election Day.

To confirm your voter information, please contact 311.

Representatives from the Election Office will also be at the following shopping centres to assist the public in confirming Voter List information:

  • Kildonan Place Shopping Centre
    Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14
  • Winnipeg Square
    Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18
  • Grant Park Shopping Centre
    Thursday, June 26 to Saturday, June 28

Additional shopping centres will be announced throughout the summer as the locations are confirmed.

Ensuring your name is on the voters list will accelerate the voting process at your voting place and will also ensure you receive a voters notice advising you of your Election Day and advance voting locations. If your name is not on the list and you meet the voter eligibility criteria you can still vote by presenting your ID and taking an Oath at the voting place. All voters are required to provide 2 pieces of ID.
